Say ‘hello’ to Kevin and Christina! I had the pleasure of photographing their engagement session last fall in Princeton, NJ. Originally we had planned to photograph their engagement session where they had first met at the Jersey Shore, but due to Hurricane Sandy we were unable to make the trip. We found a new spot – one of the stops along the Delaware & Raritan canal – and it was beautiful! Though not exactly what they had planned, at the end of the day we all knew that the canal was the perfect place: it was private, beautiful and serene – a perfect match for these two!
Normally I don’t share this part, but their proposal story is so adorable I just can’t help myself! (Kevin, a school teacher, is quite the romantic.) It was the end of the summer in 2012, and Kevin made plans for one more night at the shore for the season. After a candlelight dinner on a balcony overlooking the ocean (which of course featured her favorite food, king crab legs), Kevin asked Christina to take a midnight walk with him on the beach. Shortly after midnight Kevin couldn’t wait any longer, so he got down on one knee and asked Christina to spend the rest of her life with him. She of course said yes.
I’d say that’s a pretty perfect end to the summer and start to a new journey together!
Kevin and Christina will be tying the knot this summer at the Crystal Point Yacht Club at the Jersey Shore, and I’m sure it will be beautiful! Congrats again, Christina and Kevin, on your engagement and upcoming nuptials. It was a blast spending the day with you both and I hope you love these photos as much as I do!
