It’s officially fall (hurray!) and you know what that means: pumpkin-flavored everythings and my Fall Photo Sessions!
One of the hesitations I’ve heard from some families is, while they really want to do a family photo shoot, they don’t know how to dress everyone to create a cohesive look. It can definitely be a daunting task, so I’ve consulted my sister Alexis, aka fashionista-in-the-making, to help put together a few fall looks to get you started.
For those of you who are tearing your closet apart trying to find something to wear to your fall or holiday photo sessions with me – here’s a little inspiration: dress how you feel your best! I love when my clients dress in clothing that’s casual and comfortable but chic. Layers, patterns, and colors are your best friend! Mix warm neutrals (not all black, please!) with pops of color and texture. A fun scarf, metallic accents or jewelry, or a cute hat can really make a photo come alive! Don’t throw in too many accessories though – we want the focus to be on you!
When dressing multiple people, instead of going for matchy-matchy try coordinated and cute – look at a color wheel and pick 3 colors that sit next to each other, and use that as your basis. For fall I love saturated blues, purples, and greens – they stand out well from the orange, red, and yellow changing leaves! Mix in stripes, checked patterns, or plaids (the new craze for fall) to add some interest.
Now you know what to wear…. So what are you waiting for? These Fall Holiday Mini Sessions are in just two locations this year (Verona Park, NJ – October 14th and Merion Botanical Park, PA – November 4th) and are approaching fast! There are just a few spots left, so please contact me ASAP to reserve your spot! Email me at firstname.lastname@example.org
PS: Thanks again, Alexis, for putting together these looks!
